About Me

.Hi, I’m Anne — welcome to Ms. Budget.

I’m a mom of two with a full-time 9-to-5 job, just like a lot of you. I’m not a financial advisor and I don’t have a finance degree. What I do have is firsthand experience paying off more than $20,000 in debt while working a regular job and raising a family — no side hustle empire, no six-figure salary, just consistent budgeting and a lot of trial and error.

A few years ago I was living paycheck to paycheck, juggling bills, and genuinely scared to look at my bank account. Nobody taught me how to manage money growing up, so I learned the hard way — through mistakes, spreadsheets, late-night Googling, and slowly figuring out what actually works when you don’t have a lot of room to breathe.

I started Ms. Budget to share what I’ve learned: realistic budgeting, frugal living that doesn’t feel like deprivation, smart ways to earn a little extra on the side, and honest debt payoff strategies — written for people with real jobs, real kids, and real schedules, not for people with unlimited time and money to spare.

This isn’t a “get rich quick” blog. It’s the stuff that actually moved the needle for my family:

  • Budget meal planning that doesn’t drain the grocery budget
  • Frugal living tips that actually hold up in real life
  • Realistic ways to earn extra money around a full-time job
  • Honest, no-judgment debt payoff advice

I believe money management shouldn’t feel complicated or shameful. My goal is to make it feel doable — one smart decision at a time.

Thanks for being here. I mean that. — Anne
